Robert Buntjer – Chairman
Electrical JATC of Southern Nevada

Robert has been a resident of Nevada since 1963. He presently is serving as the Assistant Training Director at the Electrical Apprenticeship of Southern Nevada. He has been involved in the Electrical Industry since the early 60s as the son of a Lineman, and then by graduating in 1980 from the Electrical Apprenticeship as a Journeyman Wireman with the IBEW Local # 357. He graduated from the National Training Institute at the University of Tennessee with the National Joint Apprenticeship Training/ Electrical Training Alliance. He has received his Renewable Energy Education from several Institutions seminars including continuing Education at Solar Energy International in Paonia, Colorado. Along with his Associate Degree in Theology, he has pursued his passions of family, conservation, and making available educational opportunities for those who have a desire to learn. His continued efforts towards protecting Nevada and its resources, so future generations can enjoy them, are reflected in his family values.

Charles “Dee” Hopper

DeeCharles Dee Hopper is a native of Texas and a resident of Las Vegas since 1995. Dee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Master in International Management from Baylor University, a Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University, and a Master of Law from Georgetown University Law Center. Dee is also a member of the State Bar of Nevada, the State Bar of Texas, the Nevada Justice Association, and the American Association for Justice. Dee’s practice focuses on construction defects for Nevada homeowners and his cases also include such notable cases such as serving as class counsel in the In Re Kitec Fitting Litigation, which recovered nearly 300 million for Clark County, Nevada homeowners for defective Kitec plumbing, as well as a number of other cases that have recovered millions in dollars for homeowners in both Nevada and Hawaii.

  Martin Melendrez, Hawkins Melendrez

Martin is the managing partner of Hawkins Melendrez, P.C., moved to the Las Vegas area in 1990, and graduated in the Charter Class (2001) of UNLV’s William S. Boyd School of Law.  Mr. Melendrez is licensed to practice before all Nevada state and federal courts and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Melendrez was admitted to the Nevada Bar in 2001, and is well respected by his legal peers and has a valuable understanding of Southern Nevada’s political landscape. Mr. Melendrez was awarded the distinction of being named to Nevada Business Magazine’s “Legal Elite.”

Mr. Melendrez has aggressively pursued client rights in Section 1983 civil rights violations, commercial disputes, complex construction issues, Nevada tax commission and negligence cases.  Mr. Melendrez is engaged in community projects, pro bono service, hiking with is German Wired Hair Pointer, Solo and is an avid cyclist.
