LAS VEGAS, NEVADA — Nevada Conservation League (NCL) celebrates Election Day, highlighting voter education, including same-day registration, mail-in ballots, and more.
“As a child of immigrant parents from the Philippines, my family wasn’t akin to politics or understood the value of their vote — let alone how to vote, but Nevada has made voting much easier than before,’” said Angelyn Tabalba, Clean Energy Plan Consultant for NCL on Beasley KVGS 102.7FM.
Nevadans can register to vote on the same day they cast their ballot online and in person. If someone wants to register in person today, they can do so at any Election Day vote center during the check-in process as long as they have a Nevada ID and proof of residency, like a paycheck, lease or mortgage payment, or utility bill. Throughout polling locations, multi-language services will be offered.
Through voting, NCL and Nevadans can build a sustainable future for our environment and economy. One where we have good-paying clean energy jobs, safe water to drink, clean air to breathe, and public lands to enjoy.
“When we vote, we aren’t just filling in a bubble on a ballot — we are investing in the future we want to see,” Tabalba said. “For me, that future is one where Nevada continues to lead on clean energy innovation, where our kids grow up breathing clean air, and where good-paying jobs support our communities through solar and electric vehicle manufacturing.”
Every vote in Nevada counts. Following state law, mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day will be counted until Saturday at 5 p.m. To find the closest poll or track your ballot, visit the Nevada Secretary of State website.
