On June 1, 2017, Governor Sandoval signed Senate Bill 413 and Assembly Bill 449 establishing Nevada’s observance of Public Lands Day. Public Lands Day is meant to recognize the cultural, scenic, and economic values of Nevada’s public lands, while encouraging Nevadans to participate in volunteer stewardship activities which help conserve the unique public lands that are only found in our state.
