West Wendover Mayor Corona Joins Western Mayors and LCV to Demand Federal Climate Action Now

Six Mountain West mayors highlight regional clean energy leadership and drastic climate impacts felt across the West

NEVADA — On Wednesday, August 18, at 3:00 pm PT, mayors from West Wendover, Fort Collins, Phoenix, Aztec, Missoula, and Boise representing six western states will join the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) for a virtual discussion about the urgent need for Congress to pass a federal economic recovery package that centers climate, justice, and jobs. Rialin Flores, executive director for Conservation Voters of Idaho will moderate the discussion.

In addition to Wednesday’s event, LCV state affiliates across the country will host regional discussions this week with mayors from New England, the Midwest, and the Mountain West.  In total, 20 U.S. mayors will join the Conservation Voter Movement for Climate Action Now events this week. These discussions are part of LCV and Climate Power’s Climate Action Now: Great American Build August tour with over 30 events across the country building support for federal climate action.
